How it Works

The process begins with a consultation with our interior designer. Discuss your ideas, hopes, and budget for your project. Show her your space, including any furniture, bedding, and other design elements you’ve selected.

She will produce a schematic rendering to show how the proposed art will look in your space. It will take into account how the art will be integrated into your overall design and layout. This will include a recommendation on the best base wall color for mural projects.

Then our artist can be scheduled to begin. Depending on the complexity and size of the mural, it can take from several hours to six days to complete. She works with long-lasting, high-quality artist acrylic paints, which can be gently cleaned if needed. They are non-toxic and safe for children's bedrooms.

Common Questions

How much will it cost?

To get started creating your schematic design, we require a deposit of $150, which will be applied to your final project cost. From there, each project is unique and is priced individually.

The cost of a custom mural or canvas depends on several factors, including size, complexity, surface, and location/area. Small and simple designs cost less, while murals with intricate detail and dense layout cost more. A mural for a very large wall may cost more if special equipment is required. We are confident that we can work within most budgets to help you get a look you’ll love.

Are digital consultations available?

When possible, we prefer to visit the space, take measurements, and discuss the client’s needs in person. However, when needed, we can conduct the consultation phase by phone or by email. In these cases, the client is responsible for taking accurate measurements and providing photos of the space.

What wall preparations should be made?

For murals, we recommend starting with clean walls in good condition, as most projects will not completely cover the walls. If your walls are freshly painted, we can tailor the project around the existing color. If repainting is needed, we can provide recommendations for house painters. We suggest an eggshell, satin, or low luster sheen for best finished results.

What if I need to paint over the mural in the future?

In general, painting over a mural is no different from any other wall color change. The painted surface may need to be lightly block sanded if there are slight variations in the thickness of paint. For murals with bright colors, starting with a good quality primer is recommended.

Can I get a painting to hang on my wall instead of a mural?

Yes! We can produce a custom canvas of any size, which you can then have framed or leave unframed. This is the best option if you live somewhere where painting the walls is not allowed, or if you want to be able to move the painting from place to place.
